At Sea Islands Heritage Academy, our scholars THRIVE. We are a new public charter school in Beaufort County enrolling sixth, seventh, and eighth graders for 2025-2026. Our team of dedicated educators and thought leaders are committed to creating an environment that is powered by community, offers place-based instruction and personalized learning, and which fosters a culture of proactivity.

Our Team
With a combined 104 years of educational experience, our exceptional teaching team is dedicated to nurturing the growth of your children. By maintaining small class sizes, our teachers provide individualized attention to each student. Utilizing personalized learning plans, our educators take a tailored approach to guide our scholars along their unique development paths and foster growth based on their individual achievements.

I am Gregg Marcel Dixon, a teacher at Sea Islands Heritage Academy. I teach Social Studies, Science, and Special Education. The small, personalized environment fosters community and collaboration, enabling meaningful connections and a supportive learning experience for students, teachers, and staff.

With a background in education and writing, plus experience in curriculum development and community service, I bring a wealth of expertise to Sea Islands Heritage Academy. With 12 years of charter school operations experience, I'm dedicated to enhancing Sea Islands Heritage Academy by developing a dynamic program, supporting growth, and fostering a positive school culture. I advocate for school choice and public education, believing in personalized learning for each student. I live in Beaufort with my family.
Michael Grieco
English Language Arts
Thrilled to teach English at Sea Islands Heritage Academy, sharing passion for reading, history, and culture. Born in NY, with background in History and Social Studies teaching, including international experience. Excited to contribute to new scholars' success at this innovative school.

Math
Hello, I'm Mrs. Warner, your child's math teacher. With 30+ years of teaching in Beaufort County, I'm excited to teach at Sea Island Heritage Academy. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. I love seeing my scholars' joy in learning. I live with my family on Lady's Island, enjoying nature and sports events.
